Results of the 2010 J.D. Powers and Associates National Auto Insurance Study are below. The overall award winner of the 2010 National Auto Insurance Study was the Amica Mutual Insurance Company with 5-star rating across all categories.

The only other company to receive a 5 star rating across all the 6 categories was USAA however since USAA Auto Insurance has membership restrictions (members and family of the US Military only) they were eligible only to be rated but not awarded.

It’s very noteworthy to add that Amica Mutual Car Insurance has won this won award 11 consecutive times!

Do these car insurance rankings always tell who the best car insurance company is?

No. They do however provide valuable insight into customer service and policy options for many car insurance companies nationwide. While many of these providers do have significant market shares the real judgment of whom the best company is for your profile really depends on all your needs.
